Letter to Senators Udall, Hatch, Bennett, Crapo, and Reid

This Is a letter that I sent Earlier today to the five US Senators who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Senator Harry Reid (D) Neveda - Majority Leader

Senator Orin Hatch (R) Utah

Senator Robert Bennett (R) Utah

Senator Mike Crapo (R) Idaho

Senator Tom Udall (D) New Mexico

It was sent to remind them that this Thanksgiving is an excellent time to reflect upon the impact that they havr upon us all by voting for legislation like the New Health Care Measures, Cap and Trade, and Card Check.............

Dear Senators,

This Thursday as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in this great country, I would like you to search the depths of your soul and try to recall what it is that we should be thankful for.
I hope you will find that it is Freedom that heads the list.

  • Freedom from persecution for being a member of LDS church.
  • Freedom to believe that the Family, not the State bears the prime responsibility to care for the people.
  • Freedom from tyranny of a monarch in a foreign land or an oligarch in this country.
Freedom to make our own way in this world, to pursue happiness and not to be held back by programs designed to redistribute wealth.
  • Freedom from a government that imposes its will on a populace that does not want to be imposed upon.
  • Freedom from acts of terrorism on our soil and in our midst.
  • Freedom to help those less fortunate than our selves, because we choose to do so, not a community organizer.
  • Freedom from the graft and corruption that inevitably creeps in to the everyday business of government that has gotten too big.
  • Freedom from career politicians who have lost sight of the fact that they were sent to represent “We the People”, not to feather their beds, line the pockets of their friends and do favors for those who financed their campaigns.
  • Freedom to join or to NOT join unions as the workers see fit, not some bureaucrat with an agenda who is installed as an arbitrator, and absolutely NOT as seen fit by union organizers.
  • Freedom to become energy independent and to stop buying oil from overseas regimes many of whom are hostile to the United States. The current policy transfers our wealth directly to our enemies.

Think about it brethren. Do you want a free country, based upon the principles laid out by the Founding Fathers, who were divinely inspired to create the union we have enjoyed for the past 234 years. Or do you want a Socialist regime where the kleptrocacy and the union thugs are able to enforce their will on the people in the name of community organizing and helping the “Little Guy” by keeping them in their place.

President Ezra Taft Benson said; “ Socialism always leads to two things. The first is a loss of personal liberty and the second is financial ruin.”

We are getting very close to the edge gentlemen. Unless YOU become an agent for change in the Senate and persuade as many of you colleagues as possible to stop the move toward communism while we have something to salvage.

Thank You

John Cahill

New and Improved Healthcare plan

I first saw this diagram put out by Congressman Kevin Brady on Glenn Beck's TV Program. It illustrates the 60 or so government bodies, agencies & committees involved in the Democrats new health care proposal currently being discussed in a House committee.

I have only one word for this proposal - INSANE.

This proposal leaves me dumbstruck. I cannot imagine what is going on in the mind of anyone who thinks this is a good idea. It is such a snarl that is impossible to imagine that any consumers will EVER get in contact with any Health Care Providers. In the meantime all the bureaucrats in the othe 50 blocks on this diagram have jobs for life, watching people watch people.. This is utter insanity, the inmates truly have taken over the asylum.

I have written to my congressman and luckily I feel confident that she will vote no on this proposal. But we need a majority of congress to understand just how crazy a national healthcare system is. Readers, please, please, please, use your influence with other members of congress on both sides, to get them to vote NO to this as well.

Letter to Senator Boxer

After seeing Barbara Boxer make a fool out of herself on Glenn Beck's program earlier today.

I thought I should write the good senator... Here's what I said....

Subject: Your High Minded Attitude

SENATOR boxer,
I thought I should take a moment to mention that I saw your performance on TV today, where you chastised Brig Gen Walsh for calling you Ma'am.

Well ma'am at the present time, I believe you would be hard pressed to find 100 people in this country, outside the beltway at least, who would pay you any respect whatsoever. You clearly demonstrated to the world what a self important TWIT you really are.

The general was adhering to a strict military protocol where he refers to his superiors as either Sir or Ma'am depending on gender.

We the People on the other hand, don't have to think of you as our superior.... You Work For US!!!! You severed yourself from the people who vote for you. We the People asked you to REPRESENT them; not talk down to them, by saying "Look at Me I'm a Senator, I am better than you".
You are nothing more than a public servant with delusions of grandeur, like approximately 400 or so of your colleagues in the house and senate.

Keep your eyes peeled for another job Senator, this gig isn't going to last much longer.

Introduction

Hi, my name is John Cahill, I live in Charlotte, NC and I'm the sort of guy that writes his legislators about issues of the day. I've done this for a while now and have written two or three times a year to the powers that be explaining my position on things, as issues arise or the mood hits me. This sort of approach got me through the Bush years alright.

However on the occasion of the 100'th day in office of the current administration, the thought came to me that the Obama Agenda is moving so fast through the halls of power, and my old approach of commenting here and there, issue by issue won't work because too much is happening too fast. You just can't keep up! I figured that it might be best to write one long letter to Senators and Congressmen covering as many of the issues as I can think of at present. The Memo to Legislators that follows is the result.

These are my views. They are also the views of thousands of folks that I met at Tea Parties, talked to after church, bumped into on the bus etc… I believe this to be a pretty good sample of the opinion of Freedom Loving Americans, those who honor the founding fathers. The people who sacrificed so much to give us this country which we all hold so dear. My intent was to put this open letter in the hands of as many legislators as I can because they all need to know that there is a groundswell of feeling out there amongst the people that we have had too much change, there is too much spending, there is too much government control of businesses, there are too much radical progressivism. Our legslators have to quickly recognize that these problems exist and recognize that they need to become part of the solution now, because those that are part of the problem will most likely lose their next bid for re-election.

This country is broken and We Gotta Fix This Somehow..............

Memo to Legislators

From: John Cahill

Date: April 30, 2009

Dear Senator or Congressman,

As the House and Senate resume their sessions, I thought it would be a good time to remind you all of the hundreds of “We The People” gatherings which were held throughout the country where hundreds of thousands of your constituents gathered to take a stand against the policies of President Obama and the current Congressional Leadership. These were referred to as “Anti Tax” Tea Parties, but let me remind you that the opposition to out-of-control “Tax and Spend” government is only a small part of what has the working population of this country upset. The list of new policies which come forth on a daily basis are so incredible as to make one think that we have all been picked up and moved to a different planet.

Our economy is struggling and history has shown time and time again that government spending cannot create wealth and it cannot cure a recession. Franklin Roosevelt’s actions during the great depression prolonged that event for at least three or four years. Ronald Reagan’s actions during the 80’s cured the Carter era recession more quickly that anyone on the left ever expected. What is needed today is for the Federal Government to pull back somewhat and put more money into the hands of the people and of business and then and get out of the way. Instead, we appear to be setting ourselves up for a government which is going to be very much in the way. Ronald Reagan said “Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.”

We are about to enter an era of unprecedented “running of our lives” by government, if congress approves any or all of the items that we are told are on the government’s agenda. If you as a member of that congress cast your vote in favor of any of these measures then you will contribute to “We The People” losing control of our country, and I fear that we may never be able to get it back from “You the Oligarchy”. You will cause the subjugation of the population of this country and destroy the foundations upon which it is built. You must protect the constitution that YOU swore to uphold and remember that you serve at the pleasure of the people and that it is the people’s interests you must hear and represent.

The Agenda of the Oligarchs (Subject to the whim of the leadership or designee du jour)

1. Labor & Card Check – The primary force at play here is the attempt to permit the union movement to have a free hand in organizing workers wherever and whenever they want. (more...)

This is intended as a reminder to you of where many of your constituents stand on the various issues that confront us all today. I know that some of you agree wholeheartedly with me on these issues. Thank you, and please stay the course. For those of you who think that the things on this agenda are the right thing to do, please for the love of God and Country, think twice before you vote for a policy which will commit this country to something which it will not be able to recover from.

If after you do think, you still believe the administration's actions are good for the country, please remember that “We The People” are watching every vote and we will show our displeasure by voting you out of office at the next opportunity.

Thank You,

John Cahill

Labor and Card Check

The primary force at play here is the attempt to permit the union movement to have a free hand in organizing workers wherever and whenever they want. Union membership as a percentage of the work force has fallen by half over the past 15 years or so. This shrinkage has happened in spite of the fact that union membership amongst government workers has grown dramatically over the past 20 years. Unions are organizations that have outgrown their usefulness. In the coal mines and steel plants of the late 19’th and early 20’th centuries they had a role in showing employers that there were levels of decency with respect to wages and working conditions. However, today unions exist for the benefit of the union leaders and increasing the number of dues paying members will help to maintain the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed.

The proposed Card Check system is the ultimate in anti-democratic approaches to see the light of day in this country. It will completely sidestep the free and democratic secret ballot process which is most often used today. Instead of a secret ballot, what is proposed is that paid agents of the union (paid on commission, no doubt) will be able to talk directly to potential union members and offer them a union card. More often than not, the “offer” is a godfather-like “An offer he can’t refuse”. Once a critical number of “potentials” have accepted said card, then the union is recognized by the labor board and the employer has no choice but to go along and agree to a contract or binding arbitration or shut down. This is unionization by intimidation.

Unions should be permitted and encouraged anywhere but only if the workers themselves request the action. Employers should not be able to take disciplinary action on employees for discussing the possibility of forming a union. Unions should not be permitted to engage in the process of trying to organize a shop where they have not been approached by the employees who chose to seek representation by the union.

The current Card Check proposal will kill jobs and force many small businesses to shut down.

Take note of unemployment rates around the country, they are highest in cities which have a history of union activism and membership.

Environmental / Energy Policy - Cap and Trade

Global Warming is a scientific fallacy. There are hundreds of respected scientists who can attest to this. One of the best testimonies of the lunacy of this movement can be found from Patrick Moore who was one of the founders of Greenpeace. He fully believed in the environmental movement and for 14 years led the charge against any and all things that were thought to be harmful to the environment. In 1986 he left Greenpeace and has continued to learn that what he had previously believed was a lie. He was recently quoted as saying that the “Environmental Movement has totally lost it’s way”. He has also said “I think one of the most pernicious aspects of the modern environmental movement is the romanticization of peasant life. And the idea that industrial societies are the destroyers of the world. The environmental movement has evolved into the strongest force there is for preventing development in the developing countries. I think it's legitimate for me to call them anti-human”. Today Dr Patrick Moore is a strong proponent of nuclear power as a source of energy.

Dr John Holdren, President Obama’s choice as a science advisor is just one example of people coming into government with hare-brained ideas that so totally fly in the face of common sense. He proposes that we deliberately inject pollution particles into the atmosphere to prevent global warming. This makes as much sense a group, who a number of years ago wanted to put up a 100 ft high fence on the Mexican border to keep out the killer bees.

Cap and Trade is a scam to make people like George Soros even more filthy rich than they already are by engaging in the trading of energy credits. What possible sense does it make to say to US companies and even private citizens, “you create too much pollution, you need to pay a tax” when there is no credible mechanism for reducing the pollution with the tax collected, and in fact, no credible evidence that a problem even exists.

America’s energy policy should be drill here, drill now and buy as little foreign oil as possible so as to deny support to the renegade regimes around the world whose purpose is to bring America to its knees through high prices for oil. And, I hasten to add, we are just about on our knees! Once this commitment is made then consideration should be given to alternate possibilities for energy by looking at Nuclear Power, Wind, Solar and even Clean Coal. Any program which makes economic sense should be examined. The government should not be leading the charge to fund energy programs that cannot make a return on investment in the free enterprise model.

We recently “celebrated” the 39’th earth day, remember earth hour where everyone but Al Gore turned off their lights for an hour. In honor of the 39’th anniversary it would be good to review some quotes made on the first Earth Day in 1970 in order to demonstrate the fear mongering that the progressives perpetrated then and continue to perpetrate;

  • "In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish." ---Paul Ehrlich, Earth Day 1970

  • "If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder by the year 2000...This is about twice what it would take to put us in an ice age." ---Kenneth E.F. Watt Earth Day 1970. (GLOBAL COOLING)

  • "In a decade, America's mighty rivers will have reached the boiling point." ---Edwin Newman, Earth Day 1970 (GLOBAL WARMING)

We are all still here folks and NONE of this happened because it’s a SCAM….

Nationalization of Banks

The government has been interfering with the conduct of business in banks for over 30 years with the passage of the Community Reinvestment Act during the Carter presidency. This act, which was strengthened a couple of times by democratic congresses since the initial passage, sought to penalize banks for not making a sufficient number of loans to people who would not normally qualify for a mortgage. Banks were pushed into bad business practices by the government, Fannie Mae and “community organizers”. This resulted in the building of a financial “house of cards” with most banks in the country heavily involved in the sub-prime mortgage business as well as home equity loans usually entailing ARM’s of some sort. This situation continued for several years and was not considered to be that serious a problem since the interest rates in the market were quite low.

Then, in the past year or so, interest rates began to sneak up because Mr. Bernanke wanted to prevent inflation. All it took was a rise of a few percentage points and all of a sudden the sub-prime mortgage market was in trouble, because many of those people who had the ARM’s could no longer make their payments and foreclosures started. When foreclosures begin, then there is a reduction in prices in the market and the next thing to collapse is the Home Equity Loan business because people are unable or unwilling to make the payments on the old value of the house when it is now worth significantly less.

Now to use the words of Reverend Wright, “the chickens have come home to roost”.

This brings us to last September when there was a great deal of panic in the financial world the Three largest investment banks, Lehman Bros, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch were in trouble and in danger of collapse. Wachovia was collapsing under the weight of the Golden West merger and was seeking a buyout partner. Citibank was in trouble as well. There were weeks of meetings and secret talks brokered by Paulsen, Bernanke, Giethner, and Billions of Dollars in government (our) money were thrown at the problem.

Now, we are given to understand that many banks are in a position to give back the money they borrowed and want to give it back, but are being told they can’t give it back yet and maybe not ever. Now we find the government lying twice, first they tell the public and the banks that this is just a loan, and the money will be paid back (this to win support from the taxpayers and some congressional holdouts) and second they tell the banks and US that it can’t be paid back banks have in many cases acquired a new majority shareholder and We The People have to pay for it. (For many, many years to come).

The government was, perhaps, justified in making funds available for the first bank bailout as a Loan to the troubled banks to be paid back over a period of time to the treasury, with interest. These loans should have been made to banks needed help and that had a good chance of recovery. Banks which did not need the “help” should not have gotten any, and banks which could not be helped should have been allowed to fail. Banks are in the position they are today, largely because the policies and interference of the government put them there.

Seizing control of these banks through the back door is sneaky, underhanded and not worthy of an organization that should operate on behalf of “We the People”, it is however, unfortunately, entirely expected of “You the Oligarchy”!

Nationalization of the Auto Industry

The US auto industry also is the victim of government interference, but here there is the additional weight of the unions which have a strangle-hold on two of the so called “big three”, namely GM and Chrysler. Chrysler has fallen on hard times on several occasions in the past and several attempts have been made in the past to rescue the company and it appears that, once again we will be going down one road or another to do it again.

There are two fundamental problems with the car business today; First the union strangle-hold mentioned earlier (refer also to point 1 in this letter.) and Second the government regulations imposed upon them which encourage the production of cars which people don’t seem to want to buy (Small high gas mileage cars and Hybrids) and discourages the production of vehicles that people do want to buy (Trucks and SUV’s).

Of these two problems, it seems that the weight of the Union pay scales and benefit packages is causing the greatest problem, because it appears that other automakers operating in the US don’t seem to have as many problems at present and they face the same regulation regime. The economic environment in place today simply cannot allow for the level of wages and benefits that are being demanded by unions today.

I notice in the latest release from GM that they are essentially saying “We Surrender” to both the Government and the Union and we are left with a shell of a company essentially being run on a 50 – 50 basis by these two entities, neither of which should be running a company. GM is now on a path where it will certainly destroy itself. It has no incentive whatsoever to do the right thing economically.

Congratulations, you now own another Airbus!

Nationalization of Health Care

As a minimum, this is a gigantic money pit. National health care systems around the world are abysmal in the level and type of care offered to the health care consumers.

There are arguments made that there are 47 Million people have no health care in the US because of the high cost of insurance. This is just a trash number tossed out by Michael Moore, who by the way, describes himself as an entertainer, not a documentary film maker. It has been pointed out that the number has been grossly overestimated, since it includes over 18 million people who earn between 50,000 and 75,000 per year and could afford to get insurance, but choose not to buy it. It also includes 10 million or more who are Illegal immigrants and they seem to get coverage somehow anyway. Of the remainder, a significant number are without coverage only for part of the time while changing jobs and the like.

The tax burden in places like Canada and Europe is beyond reason, with middle income people in the 50,000 to 75,000 range having marginal tax rates nearly 60%. This is in addition to long waiting lines to access specialist services, and even 5.5 million Canadians (US Equivalent 60 million) who do not even have a primary care physician (family doctor).

One Canadian member of parliament who when diagnosed with breast cancer travelled to UCLA Medical center for treatment, this after voting in parliament to prevent Canadians from having access to any privately provided health services in Canada, thus forcing everyone into the single provider government run system. In England and throughout the world, the picture is no better there are long waiting lines for nearly every service offered.

The concept of Nationalized Health Care is merely a means of rationing health services concocted by government bureaucrats so that they can determine who lives and who dies by controlling access to the health care providers. They may decide that no one over a certain age should be treated, or no one with Down’s syndrome will be treated.

The possibilities are endless and none of them are pretty.

National Security Issues

The war on terrorism has been swept under the carpet.

Illegal immigration continues to be rampant throughout the country and efforts to control it and to deport illegal immigrants found here (like the 287G program) are termed as racist by some and Un-American by Speaker Pelosi.

However a person with grey hair and who has a Ron Paul bumper sticker or displays anything that is pro-gun, pro-life or pro-God is said to be a threat to National Security! GIVE ME A BREAK! Read the constitution and then uphold it as you swore you would. Stop calling Law Abiding citizens threats, simply because they have an opinion that is not the same as the current party line.

It’s called FREE Speech folks, and it’s guaranteed by that constitution you read a moment ago. Fomenting paranoia throughout the country and the active prevention of legitimate dissent Now, That’s Un-American!

Thank goodness we still have pirates out there, some things don’t change.

We need to protect our borders from illegal entry, we need to prevent terrorist acts in this country and if that means military or covert action overseas, so be it.

Foreign Policy and Transnationalism

The approach that President Obama takes on the international front where he apologizes for past wrongs and denigrates the US at every opportunity is shameful. He is trying to appease the craziest, most brutal dictators in the world and he is meeting with little success. No one on the International front seems all that impressed with President Obama’s overtures. He actually comes across to foreigners as somewhat inept. Hugo Chavez gave him a book which is an insult to the US, Daniel Ortega goes on a 50 min diatribe against the US, he bows to the King of Saudi Arabia, gives tacky presents to the British Prime Minister and to their Queen and he sucks up to the Arab world on Aljazeera TV.

Yet President Ahmadinejad of Iran is still Ahmadinejad, yet Kim Jung Il of N Korea is still Kim Jung Il.

In the fervor to be liked on the international front he has also put US Sovereignty at risk by suggesting that the US needs to become a better world citizen by subjecting itself to more control by the UN and the World Court and treaties brokered there.

The United Nations is a corrupt, bureaucratic nightmare that has really only one objective the furtherance of the Progressive Agenda and One World Government as well as the protection and elevation to “supreme being” status for the bureaucrats who work there year after year writing harshly worded memos to despots and ordering sanctions on countries which these very bureaucrats flaunt by developing side arrangements in the name of humanitarianism and profiting for themselves, like the oil for food scandal with Saddam Hussein.

One of President Obama’s appointees, Harold Koh is convinced this is the route that our country should be taking, he calls it Transnationalism. I believe this attitude and behavior flies in the face of what the founders of this country had in mind when they wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They had in mind a country which had principles and they stood for them.

This Transnationalism proposed by Koh and his cohorts is an affront to the founding principles and it will only be a short time when international conventions will result in the disassembling of the constitution, our system of laws and our very sovereignty in the name of Progressivism.

Education

It has been almost a whole generation since the children of the United States received a good education in the public school system. While much of the problem can be attributed to poor parenting, and children who have no respect for authority, gangs and a number of other things. The Lion’s Share of the blame lies with teachers unions, they are encouraging their members to teach the kids according to the Progressive (Socialist) Agenda, by catering to Gay Rights Activists, Eco-Doomsday Activists, Pro Abortion Activists, Anti Religion Activists (Except for Muslims) and every other Leftist group out there, and our kids are being “dumbed down” as a result.

There is but one bright spot in the Education Arena and that is the system in many cities where Vouchers are provided to parents and they can choose the school that their child attends these can be private schools, charter schools or a public school in another neighborhood. These programs are growing in popularity and effectiveness with thousands of kids getting a good education in good schools with good friends around them. These kids will become the basis of the group of people we will need to run businesses, teach others and run for political office in the future. The basic high school grad from the public schools will not have the ability to do this. Worse yet they will have been taught by the teachers unions that they don’t need to. They are being told that they can sit back and let the Government take care of everything.

I have an Engineering Degree and I can tell you that there is no way that the average high school grad is prepared for what’s required to make it through an engineering program.

So they go to college and take programs like sociology and anthropology or environmental studies or women’s studies. These are all fine programs if you want your head full of socialist mush, but not if you’re going to run a business, build a bridge, or design a new computer, these skills are not being taught, hence the rash of outsourcing that has been going on. India, China and any number of other countries do produce college graduates who can run a business, build a bridge, or design a new computer and we have to import that talent or source it directly from the distant country.

The Free Enterprise System does work and it should be applied to the public schools by allowing the students the choice and letting the public schools adjust and compete in that marketplace the result is that the quality of education will increase overall and even the public schools with the worst records will improve or close. We need to give back the voucher program that was taken from the kids of Washington DC.

We need to break the strangle hold that the Teachers Unions have on these schools along with the Socialist Indoctrination that goes with it. It’s killing our kids’ future.

Out of Control Spending

The Stimulus Bill, TARP1, TARP2, The Mother of All Budgets, this government has spent or committed more money than all previous government spending combined. All legislators should regard the spending of government money as they would spend their own personal funds, because it is, at least in part.

Governments need to kept as small as they can be and still provide for the services they are obliged to under the Constitution. An armed force for National Protection from enemies and some roads would be good…

Not a fleet of private planes for the speaker of the house to jaunt on, if she needs to go somewhere and thinks that she needs a government plane she might find a KC-135 Tanker going her way. One of the laps of luxury she sometimes flies in is not good enough because it has to re-fuel in Kansas City adding a few minutes to a cross country trip at Our Expense.

We should certainly not be spending Billions (nay TRILLIONS) of dollars for every crackpot scheme that comes along. If a research or investment possibility cannot get funding from private sources, it means that it has not enough return on the investment, it means it is a bad idea and as a rule the government should not get involved. The Congressional Budget Office says that if this spending spree goes ahead as planned then in a few years the interest payments alone on the national debt will be 80% of the GDP. Even the socialist EU will not allow a country to be a member of that organization if the debt is above 60%.

  • Think of it this way, you have a house with a mortgage, and you’re making a nice round $1,000 a week, you have a family, with kids that need a college education, some folks that need health care, some that want to be entertained and of course you would also like to eat. The interest portion of your mortgage payment is $800 a week. You need to pay down the principal on the mortgage (banks ultimately do want their money back), you need to pay the college education for your kids, you need to pay the health insurance bill, you need to pay the cable TV Bill, you need to pay the electric bill (now including Cap and Trade) and you need to buy food…… all with $200 a week left over after paying the interest on the mortgage.

No banker in his right mind would ever make a loan under such conditions.
I know it’s a bit like an old Cosby Show episode but it’s the truth… we cannot afford to get ourselves into this much debt, it simply makes no sense whatsoever, especially when such a level of spending will not achieve the purpose for which it was originally intended. The Government cannot spend its way out of a recession this has been proven time and time again, we need to cut spending and put more money in the hands of the people and small businesses, we need to stop nationalization of major industries.

Government needs to get out of the way and let the American people solve this problem .

Out of Control Congressional Leadership

The senior members of the majority leadership seem to be drunk with power. Senator Harry Reid, Rep Nancy Pelosi, Senator Chris Dodd, Rep Barney Frank in particular are all acting like kids let loose in a candy store and are gorging themselves on the trappings of power. The stories we hear about the behind the scenes activity leading up to the passing of the Stimulus Bill indicate that Speaker Pelosi seems not to be interested in due process at all. She had a long list of things that needed to be done in her estimation and nothing was going to push her off that program. We hear of shouting matches with Harry Reid during the reconciliation process. We are treated to a diatribe from her on immigration that enforcing the laws of this country is “Un-American”.

From the use of government planes for private matters to making sure that family members profit from whatever government business can be thrown their way. We need honest politicians representing us and they need to remember that they serve at the pleasure of the people and if they lose sight of the fact that they should represent the people, the people will find someone else to represent them.

Note that Chris Dodd has accumulated only 5 campaign donors so far from his home state.

Cabinet and Staff Members

I have never seen an array of individuals with so many problems, they either can’t pay their taxes (TC), they insult the intelligence of the voters (IT) or they are are card carrying representatives of the lunatic fringe (LF). Here is a partial list of members of the group of key players Obama has assembled.

  • Harold Koh (LF) an elitist academic with his transnational views wants this country to be subsumed into some, international stew. We will no longer be the United States of America if he gets his way.

  • John Holdren (LF), proposed new science advisor to the president. The man who wants to deliberately pollute the atmosphere to cure all our ills. This just redefines lunatic fringe in a whole new way. Global Climate Change is a fraud, plain and simple.

  • Hilda Solis (LF) possibly, the most dangerous cabinet secretary to come into the government in living memory. She is focused on one thing and one thing only; Devising a scheme to allow Unions to Run Rampant over the population and make all workers card carrying union members. Card Check is her baby and it is big trouble!!!

  • Robert Gibbs (IT) aka “Bagdad Bob” Gibbs is the worst press secretary in living memory.

  • Janet Napolitano (IT) as the homeland security secretary is clearly out of her league, she has more experience than President Obama, but she seems not to have learned from it.

  • Louis Caldera (IT) the guy who authorized the buzzing of New York City by Air Force One. Can you spell stupid? One possible ray of sunshine emerges from this debacle. It is that New Yorkers will wake up to the fact that they voted for the idiots behind this incredible act of stupidity. This action elevates him one notch above Napolitano or Gibbs as the Obama operative most likely to get the boot soon.

  • Tim Geithner (TC) the architect of all that is wrong in the financial business today who hasn’t quite figured out turbo tax!

  • Tom Daschle (TC) health care lobbyist extraordinaire, who also has tax troubles, was withdrawn as a nominee for HUD secretary but, no doubt, has settled into a VERY comfortable living as a highly paid consultant to President Obama or Kathleen Sebelius.

  • Eric Holder as attorney general, who calls us a nation of cowards. A former Clinton hack and good friend of Janet Reno, with ties to the Chicago political circle. The main things he seems to want are; 1) to let jihadists from Guantanamo go free to wander the streets of the US. 2) Take away our second amendment rights. 3) Prosecute members of the Bush Administration.
